• Just watched debate. Close call, but Obama answered questions in detail; McCain only in broad terms about future, specific about past. #
• Hindsight is 20/20 so I’m curious to see how McCain does in debate #2. #
• Have a feeling Joe Biden will wipe the floor with Sarah Palin next week. She’s a total noob and Biden a 3 decade + seasoned pro. #
• Tonight was just the first impression, touchy-feely stuff. In 2 wks Wall Street sorted out, chips will fall & we’ll see who was right. #
• I don’t think McCain knows his butt from a burnt biscuit about the economy, although he knows $7 B blank check is wrong & so do other Reps. #
• I’m hoping no one gives Paulson and Bernanke the money. There are other ways to do this deal, and all Congress knows it and will get it rite #
• At least they better or lynchings of Congressional leaders will become an American past-time! Hold the door mama I’m getting the pitch fork! #
• I am soooooo happy to be back online from home!!! Those cable guys are awesome and running their asses off to finish our recovery. #
• Hurricanes Gustav and Ike did a lot of damage in South LA and Southeast TX. Red Cross needs disaster fund rebuild badly. Please donate! #
• Son has small open wound. Can’t be stitched. Going out for sterile gauze and polysporin. Praying it doesn’t get infected. So far so good. #
• Obama made eye contact, McCain avoided eye contact and muttered. #
• Seemed like McCain wasn’t happy about having to be at debate, like it was beneath where he thought he should be. His bluff got called. #
• McCain’s posturing over the economy backfired. Plan that must pass is just like New Deal in 1938. Taxpayers will profit over time like then. #
• Reaganomics started deregulation republicans continued to present & caused this depression. Difference: bank deposits insured, no bank runs #
• State and local charter banks are actually competing and thriving as the big banks tank. Keep your local credit union accts!!! #
• Can’t wait to see Biden wipe the floor with Palen next week. #
• Palin couldn’t handle Katie Couric. She doesn’t have a prayer against Biden. Conservatives are calling for her to step down from ticket. #

• Back online at CC’s coffee free hot spot. Power back last week after Gustav on 9/1 but still no internet service. #
• Sore from hand sawing big fallen limbs. Still have half the back yard to clear, then mow. Lucky nothing went through our roof. #
• It didn’t make big news, but Gustav was the worst hurricane to hit Baton Rouge in at least 50 years. Give to Red Cross Disaster Fund!!! #
